Is there any difference in spring rate of the stock coils of XJ/MJ and TJ's. I have a nice set of TJ coils I have left over from a lift install I did for someone and I want to put them in my MJ resto-mod.
My turn to tackle the WJ brake swap on my MJ project.
Ive got these Grizzly wheels off a TJ
wondering if theres any reason they wont fit with the akebono calipers. Anyone have any experience? I dont mind grinding them down a bit.
Also, my assumption is that i dont need the JKS spacers with a...
I know i want to paint my MJ project a middle shade of blue. With the multitudes of manufacturers and shades how do you decide on one? especially if looking at them online. how can i tell what i like. BTW, this will be the first paint job ive tackled myself.
Ive been pondering a lighter driveshaft for my comanche project. Does anyone have any experience? Any donor vehicles anyone can think of? How much of a weight difference would we be looking at here? Is it enough of a weight saving to even worry about?
Im in the middle of restoring a '91 MJ. It has the 4.0 with AX15 and no transfer case. Im planning on installing a Ford 8.8 for the limited slip and disk breaks but im unsure on which gearing I want. Im considering 4.10's or 3.73's. This Jeep will be a daily driver and has 31" tires (probably...
Just pulled the cover on my '95 8.25 and there is the glitter of metal shaving and the fluid has bubbles in it. Has the fluid been contaminated? Fill/reseal and all should be fine? Should i be concerned. I pulled the cover because things have felt a little off back there (small shimmy). I...
No fuel at the rail. cant hear the pump pressurize. fuel gauge isnt working. replaced relay with a known good one. is this just a bad pump and sender or can something i missed be causing this?

Hey guys. I have an issue I thought I would run by the good ole boys at NAXJA.
Went wheeling at a place called rancho this weekend and ended up with a few issues. for one my front end diff knocked a hole in my down pipe but the one that has me baffled is this noise from the front end.
It only...
My '93 4.0 had the whole front end smashed in when i bought it 2 years ago. when i rebuilt it i removed the a/c condenser(cause it was smashed) and the PO said the a/c blew but not cold. the aluminum(?) pipes coming out of the back of the compressor are all bent up. so the a/c system is all...
im thinking about using extra long bolts and going all the way through the frame for the fornt leaf spring bolts on my '93. had a hell of a day yesterday getting the old ones out. if i go through the frame ill have access to the nut. gonna weld some washers to the frame to help reinforce the new...
My '93 4.0 aw4 started dying on me a few weeks back. i did the key trick and found the o2 sensor code and the cps code. i replaced both. thought it fixed the problem because i didnt have the stalling problem for 2 days till just now on my way home from work. i still have the o2 and cps codes but...
i had a severe occasional misfire on the interstate so i decided to do a tuneup. plugs, cap, rotor and an o2 sensor. now i get the mis at idle. what gives?

i have a popping noise when driving in 4wd. i feel a small jerk that accompanies the pop. what can i do to troubleshoot this issue before taking things apart? is this most likely the tcase, front axle or maybe u-joints? this is a '93 with the np231.
edit: i realize "4wd drive" in the title is...
sounds like ive got some broken teeth on some gears in the front end. would it be easier to replace the front end or rebuild the axle while under the jeep?
