    High temp woes

All that junk swimming around the engine and clogging up the heater core will dislodge and clog up the new radiator... At least that's what's happening with me. I must have removed that radiator at least 5-6 times at this point.... The acid treatment really isn't bad and will save you the work...

Tried the garden hose sealed and it's not even close to the pressure/agitation that the gun produced. MASSIVE difference!

    High temp woes

If you have junk, I highly recommend an acid treatment. I'm going to be doing this myself in the next week to get the remainder of junk out. I'm running 200-210 on street and up to 220 on highway w load so I'm guessing some junk is still clogging things up... Did some research and am gonna go...

Didn't get any aluminum shavings... But I get what you're saying. The metallic particles literally look like metallic dust clumped together. They're extremely fine, smaller than a grain of sand. Either way, it's all good. I'm just glad to be running normal temps again and am looking forward to...

    High temp woes

Hey guys, figured I'd throw an update on here in case things come up on a future search... Replaced the pump, fin direction was identical to my previous pump. Made no difference. Black and forward flushed the heater core and radiator, barely anything came out. Maybe half a teaspoon of stuff...

    High temp woes

The stant thermostat I believe is made my motorad, which is what's in there now... I doubt it being 195 would make a difference to the higher temps... I also contacted mishimoto and sent some info in for a replacement Rcp, hey man! Thanks for popping in! Which direction you recommend I go with...

    High temp woes

Hey guys! Got another problem with my rig... '01 xj, Russ's 87 octane 4.6 stroker (3k miles). Novac ax15, 4.88 gears, 35" tires. 5,800lbs (armor, RTT, toolbox and tools) Been running hot since before the engine rebuild, still ran hot after rebuild. Flushed/back flushed the heater core a...

Awesome build and set up man! I went back to my old drag link and the pitman arm angle got better, went a little high on the knuckle joint but nothing extreme. I think raising my track bar and doing the high steer is the next step in the future. Thanks for the write up and advice!

Again, fenders and flex aren't the issue... But here's the trim job and acos hydro bump stops if you're curious. https://photos.app.goo.gl/WJtUPfMd9X3ardHP7

There's gotta be another way!! Lol Fenders are trimmed already, that's not the issue... Issue is that pitman arm/drag link angle at the bolt. Dropping the pitman arm fixes it but throws the trackbar/drag link more out of parallel Full hydro isn't an option as it's a DD.

Ya, i wish I measured things before ordering the drag link. Doh. My previous one was almost as bad and probably could have benefitted from a drop pitman arm

It's an xj with 4link and coil springs in the rear... Running 8" of lift I was thinking of raising the axle side but would have to shave the nut down as the truss is in the way.. See pics https://photos.app.goo.gl/1DEFe1vBQ9JFBao66 https://photos.app.goo.gl/4uNvYn2oojXuQFpo8

Hey guys! I recently replaced my bent tie rod with cavfabs solid one and got their drag link as my previous one was pretty beat up. The cavfab drag link has a bend to it where as my previous one was straight. The bend threw the angles off a bit and made the angle on the pitman arm a little...
