Its your IAC or idle air controller, it bypasses air around the throttle body, and they get sticky when they get old. You can try pulling it and some lubrimacation, or just buy a new one, but they are a couple bucks if I remember.

The 2.8 is a crap motor, save your money and headache and buy a 4.0 with an ax-15 or aw-4. I have had both, and the 2.8 is not worth any money you would save on initial purchase price. Where abouts are you located?

Yes $500 for 88' body and 92 motor, it also has brand new tires, 225 75 r 15, they're Hercules. I also have a radiator, front fiberglass radiator support, tailights, a 2wd AW4 tranny that is good with low miles. Um, I will have to look and see what else I have laying around.

I have interchanged them with no problems, everything worked fine, that transmission has since died of "natural" causes, but the wiring seemed to work ok. Hope that helps.
