It is a shame, for the first time in a decade I will miss NWFest. I spent all of my money and vacation time in Zambia. You guys/gals have fun and maybe have a drink or six for me. =) Next year.

Even most trucks with hitches that get rearend end with significant frame damage. It is a universal problem. If the rails are kinked on your 89, it will be a write off.

That is funny, I just bolted up a nice winch today ;) Now I don't have to answer everyone's question of when I am getting a winch. It only took me 5 years from the time I built my bumper till I got a winch. Next step trying to figure out where to put the control box. It should be in operation...

I am surprised that no one has mentioned a "bug-out" bag. Basically a back pack that has what you would need to SURVIVE for a couple of days. I would include: Pocket knife/leatherman, windproof lighter/matches, firestarter, firstaid kit, space blanket x2, water, 2 qt light weight pot to boil...
