It is a shame, for the first time in a decade I will miss NWFest. I spent all of my money and vacation time in Zambia. You guys/gals have fun and maybe have a drink or six for me. =) Next year.

Even most trucks with hitches that get rearend end with significant frame damage. It is a universal problem. If the rails are kinked on your 89, it will be a write off.

That is funny, I just bolted up a nice winch today ;) Now I don't have to answer everyone's question of when I am getting a winch. It only took me 5 years from the time I built my bumper till I got a winch. Next step trying to figure out where to put the control box. It should be in operation...

I am surprised that no one has mentioned a "bug-out" bag. Basically a back pack that has what you would need to SURVIVE for a couple of days. I would include: Pocket knife/leatherman, windproof lighter/matches, firestarter, firstaid kit, space blanket x2, water, 2 qt light weight pot to boil...

Re: Trail/Road Closures: Condition report I say stay the course. If there is a bunch of snow then everyone will have a chance to run on the Epic run, because they will all be epic

If you are on a trail run, you should only take about 3 attempts at an obsticle before you take the strap, winch, spotter, or whatever. Nobody wants to watch you destroy the trail, break your stuff or make us late to dinner because you are too proud to admit defeat. Now if we are somewhere...

I would like to lead Saturday's Moderate run. And I sure I can point out the right direction on the Epic run, just make sure I am a couple jeeps back. ;)
