Folks:
Been reading the success stories of folks who have upgraded their air by using better flowing coils etc...
As I understand it, custom hoses are required. Here is my thought... Has anyone tried to just buy 100% 1999-2000 parts since they have the easier to use quick disconnect lines...
I have had a NAPA alternator since 2000 without issue. I prefer them. The supplier at the time is different then they are now. This said, the first NAPA alternator failed catastrophically when the pully flew off driving from Florida to Georgia. Often times they switch pullys out so make sure...
Guys:
Sent my oil off to blackstone labs and got the below back as a report. Should I be concerned. She has around 145,000 miles on her 1988 Renix 100% stock. Everything is operating well and the only thing origional in her fuel/emissions system is the pressure regulator and the egr valve...

MTBracer367 :
If you are getting a brief run followed by the stall, the fuel pump can be safely rulled out. I'm trying to think of this from memory here, and someone else may be able to chime in but I believe there is a fusable link between the fuel pump relay and the power off the battery...
Though I am not a fan of Autozoo remans, My 88 ate PS pumps about once a year and every year I was back getting a new pump. I even switched to a newer style pump (97 model year) and continued to be plagued with failures. Around 7 yrs ago the gearbox started leaking. I replaced it, along with...
