    Iraq

So let's see, the attitude here is that it is OK to mistreat any prisoners we hold because they would have had worse things done to them if they were Iraqi prisoners, Nazi prisoners, or folks arrested in our own country. This seems sort of non-reponsive to the point I was trying to make, not to...

    Iraq

Again - how we conduct ourselves is the best way to draw a contrast between our way of doing things and the way of the thugs we are trying to defeat. Setting a proper example of how a nation of laws should operate is critical to getting the general Iraqi population to buy into what we are trying...

    Iraq

Well if all of this is really true, then we should be able to bring our troops home very soon. But I just have to ask this: Is there really ANY set of circumstances which would EVER justify what was done to the prisoners in the pictures from Abu Ghraib? I would think that acts of this kind...

    2001 xj missfire problem

Yes, I went to my dealer and they installed the heat shield on the fuel rail and provided a flash update to teh CPU. Haven't had a problem since then. It's been over a year. There is a TSB on this one.

    Massaging XJ fuel economy (long)

I have a bone stock '01 Sport with Command Trac 4WD. I have had variances of 13-20 MPG, averaging about 17. I change my oil every 3000 miles with Mobil 1, and follow all of the manufacturer maintenance schedules. I believe the problem is related to the crap gas being sold these days and nothing...

    Check engine light?

There is a TSB on this one. Dealer needs to install a sleeve on the fuel rail and do a software upgrade to the CPU to prevent the MIL from engaging. Misfire is happening due to fuel that evaporates in teh fuel rail before it makes it to the cylinder.

    Check Engine Light

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water. Your dealer forgot to give you the software upgrade to the engine CPU along with the sleeve on the injector. I had the same problem with my 2001 at about 27,000 miles - wouldn't stop misfiring. Got the MIL and the #3 cylidner misfire about...

    1985 Xj $500

My son is looking for something to get him back and forth from home in Lake County to Champaign for school. I left a message on your machine to call me back. Just a few questions: 4WD? any fluid leaks? tire life? brakes replaced recently? if it...

    01 hot start problem

There is also a software upgrade to the CPU which should accompany the heat shield. My dealer covered this one for me since the first repair was done without the software and failed to prevent a repeat one month later. It's been a year and no problems since. And I too think that the lousy gas...

That is a great deal if you build. Here is a great one out of the box. We just bought these for our staff of 105. Case and chassis are stainless steel. Damn fine machines. http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=646679

    My 2 cents

Because remember, when you are on this board, you are in Jesusland. The sad thing is that even if you were American and had a direct interest in our politics, you still would not get to speak your mind - even on a non-tech thread - unless you towed the Jesusland line. "STFU"?? Not very...
