no. The front driveshaft bolts in on both ends. The rear driveshaft (non-SYE) is a slip-yoke. Once the SYE is installed, you can then use a front DS in the rear. I ran front DSs in both ends on my 8+" lifted XJ.

I find no ill behaviors in highway driving. and Ive done the 70-75mph speed for awhile. i've got no complaints, as to date. Zero troubles with the caster adjuster, either.

I have a set of Rough Country Nitro shocks for Jeep Cherokee. These are for 4-6" lift. PN# 9177, 9178s. With red boots. Have around 4-500 miles on them, at most. I paid 160-170$/set shipped. Will take 100+shpg. Come with red urethane bushes.

they didn't appear to sag. I'd say a couple yrs old, IIRC. Shipping seems to avg around $20, from what I've checked for others. here's one, next to a new 7" ZJ coil..
