have you tried a new 16lb radiator cap? last year i was having temp spike problems similar to yours. come to find out, the electric fan was slowly dieing. i didnt realize it until it stopped spinning altogether.
hey Rainman...your link just opens up this thread again. I replaced all 6 injectors with 4hole greens from precision auto injectors. definately notice smoother idling and throttle reponse. i havent checked to see if MPG have improved yet. still have some starting problems every once and a while...
on my 99, the condensor attached to brackets on the top of the radiator. cheap plastic old studs on the condensor stripped off...mostly my own fault. just something to watch out for/consider.
pretty easy job to replace the radiator. problems i ran into doing mine were the quick disconnect fitting for the lower trans line and reattaching the condensor. i invested in the set of line disconnect tools for the QD fittings, but it was a struggle to get it apart and reassembled. probably...
