stripping the paint off stock flares ?

just sand the paint off the flares, use a lower grit at first then work your way up to about 400-600 on the plastic. Then you could just paint the flare black with some trim paint. ORRR try to heat it up with a heat gun after you sand it with really high grit paper. That may work Hope that helps

    Prepping fort paint

if you arent lookin for anything fancy, i would take some 220 and sand out the parts that the clear is peeling off...then go back over the whole jeep with 400 or so and spray away.

    242 issues

i was just reading the RE 5.5 XJLA description and it brought to my attention an issue that I may have. It said that a kit over 3.5" "may cause unnacceptable" front driveshaft vibes. I already have the RE 3.5" kit with an SYE but I want to upgrade to the T&T long arm 5.5" kit. I was just curious...

    hack and tap

All i gotta say is spend the extra for the Advance Adapters SYE. I bought the RE Hack'n'Tap and ended up sending back my driveshaft. I went through 80 dollars in different drill bits and none would drill through my tailshaft. Spend the extra 200 or whatever it is and get the entire output shaft...

    SYE on my XJ?

an sye is short for Slip Yoke Eliminator. Stock np231 transfer cases come with a slip yoke style output shaft. An SYE eliminates the slip yoke and changes it to a CV style joint, and in most cases shortens the length of the output shaft, which makes for a longer driveshaft. A longer driveshaft...
