I ended up picking up a new battery regardless. The old one was 4 years old and it looked like the P.O. smacked the terminals with a hammer. No dice with new battery. Went to pull the battery ground from the frame and bolt snapped way To easily. I picked up a new 2 ga ground cable gotta drill...

Yea I know. Unfortunately I don’t have the time right now to take on the project. I spoke with a shop about putting in an updated head. I just may go that route so I’m done with it and don’t have to worry about the head again.

Well bringing this back. Did the water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing. Still freaking loosing coolant. Oil is still clean and level hasn’t change. I think I’m gonna pull the valve cover and let it run and look for a crack. Idk what else to so

Thank you very much for the info! I might have finally caught a break. I sat there with the motor running. I gave it a rev and could see a drop of coolant from the water pump. Could the water pump be on it’s way out and dumping through the week hole when the engine is under old ?

Thanks that’s what I’m hoping. Put another turn on the clamp no more drip. Gonna pick up a new radiator cap today also they are cheap enough and mine is looking a little worn.

I’m gonna take a guess that it’s getting burnt off some where I put about a half gallon of coolant in over the last 2 weeks or so and my oil level hasn’t moved.

Put 16 lbs of pressure on the system. Found a dripping radiator hose. Thought I was good until I looked through the oil cap. Saw a tiny drop of coolant. Took about 10 minutes to drop 1 psi
