    Last year of woody XJs?

Yep. '90 was the last year for the Wagoneer Limited, with both wood and the 4 headlight setup. '91-'92 had the Briarwood with the wood, but 2 headlights, like all other XJ Cherokees. I picked up a nice set of Briarwood door panels and dash bezel from the pick-n-pull for my '92 Laredo.

    93 XJ Laredo???

Yes. Laredo is just a trim package.

    Blower Motor Issue

Try this: Blower resister. Mounted up under the glove box. It mounts with the business end into the air box, for cooling. They burn out eventually. Find it, pull it, test each section for continuity. This is the gizmo that the switch talks to that steps the speed of the blower. Do the wiggle...

Key won't turn on or off - stuck in the middle

Thanks for the tips. I have been in the column a few times for clock springs and wheel replacements (darned black goo) so I have the tools at least. I was able to reach up under and jiggle the rod coming from the ignition switch on the column body, but didn't have any luck with that. I guess...

Key won't turn on or off - stuck in the middle

92 XJ 4.0 AW4 All of a sudden my ignition key cylinder decided not to work correctly. When I came home from work today and parked, I put the shifter in Park and went to turn it off. The key turned off the Jeep, but wouldn't rotate all the way to off. The steering wheel lock did not engage. It...

Another trackbar question - how tight is tight?

Thanks guys. I have been researching the wallowed out hole fixes in case that is it. My son is a welder...father's day is Sunday...that might work!

    Reclining seat

Well, the metal is fatigued, so there is not a good fix unless you tear into it and weld in a gusset plate of some sort. A short term fix is to literally push/pull/tug on the top of the seat back until it straightens up. Yes, that's a lousy solution, and it won't last, but it's free and easy...

Another trackbar question - how tight is tight?

LOL. I have mostly abandoned that forum. Got tired of the "Patriot Blue XJ with a 2" lift and 35s on soft 8s" pic requests and the "what muffler makes my 4 cylinder sound like a V8" requests. Good info. Thanks.

Another trackbar question - how tight is tight?

That's the most concise list I think I have seen. Sure beats picking through 1000 posts. I am going to print that out and hang it in the garage, LOL. I have checked pretty much all of those things, but I'll keep poking around. It's gotta be something. Thanks.

Another trackbar question - how tight is tight?

92 XJ with a case of death wobble. 2" lift. no other major mods. I have read a lot of the threads (for years, actually), but still have one question. How tight should the track bar really be? I don't mean the actual bolts that secure it in place. I mean how much wiggle is O.K.? It has bushings...

Climate control switch disconnected now A/C blows out defrost

Check the hard plastic line that runs from the football to the firewall. It runs under/near the battery and is prone to deteriorization.

Rear axle play -how much is too much?

Rear axle play -how much is too much? '92 XJ 8.25" open While changing the diff fluid, I had the Jeep up on jack stands so I could spin the tires and take a look around inside. I can spin a tire a full inch of travel before it hooks up with the other side. The ring rotates along with the pinion...
