I'd love to find a good quality scan of the 87-96 and 97-01 engine bays less all powertrain parts for engine swap planning purposes but I won't be surprised if no one's going to post that.
Yeah, they only changed a few values internally and added the circuit fault checking resistor that's always in the circuit. They left the 15400 and 2940 values the same.
My impression is that they did this to evenly space the values in an exponential cascade so that they can be distinguished...
Alright, due to a project I am presently working on I had need of actual, 100% verified data on this. So I went and found a guy selling some and offered him less than they were worth simply to measure and inspect them. He thought that was pretty weird (I mean, I don't blame him) but was OK...
Yeah nope, I had to reset my password too. I believe the plan was that passwords would carry over but I was pretty sure that would end up not happening since it depends on two very different forum software packages from different decades using the same password hashing algorithm etc.
Lol, I can't see any signatures at all anymore, even on mobile web and in desktop mode.
I guess that's one way to fix it.

I don't know of any truly being sold NEW, but you can get remanufactured and rebuilt ones pretty easily on rockauto and other places.
So far all I can tell you is that the one known failure mode for 1991-1995 SBEC units tends to be 3 electrolytic capacitors going dry/open circuit. The typical...

But again, sounds like it is the wild west on signatures right now and I'll simply go along with whatever the majority decides for...
Speak of the devil... it was actually your signature that reminded me of this thread :ROFLMAO: it's 11 lines long on my screen, longer than most of the posts I've seen you make. Personally I am a signature line minimalist but I realize some are not.
But it is not my place to set policy or...
I'm curious, is this still in effect? It looks like the old forum rules page from vbulletin days is dust in the wind.
committing some serious thread necromancy here, I know.
I wish I'd moved here in 2008 when I started fulltime employment, TBH. But it took me till 2017 to buy land here and till last summer to actually complete the move. Beautiful area.
The parts that appear to be broken in yours are likely the same on any similar era GM Saginaw column if you haven't found anything yet. I'm a thousand miles away or I'd grab some parts for you.
Your definition of "works fine" and mine are different. That's OK, but I prefer to provide all the gory details and allow other people to decide if they are OK with the compromises or other parts changes necessary to achieve an OEM-equivalent fit and finish, or if they want to choose another...
