There seems to be a huge variance in price between brake calipers. Is there any reason to spend $90+ per caliper on a Crown or Omix-Ada part versus the ~$24 Raybestos or A1 Cardone remanufactured parts or the $30 AC Delco calipers?
I realize some of the calipers are sold with pads, but that...
I've always found it highly questionable when someone criticizes someone else's recreational spending habits.
I'm sure most average people would say "You spent how much on your Jeep so you can play in the dirt?"
I picked 'em up for $200 shipped almost two years ago. Why would I sell them now? I only put them on because I needed new tires anyway. And you should have seen the stock wheels. They looked like they'd been at the bottom of the ocean. Completely covered in rust barnacles. I might try to remove...
This is on the stock suspension. I used Spidertrax bolt pattern adapters to go from the original 5x4.5" to 5x5" for the 18" Wrangler Sahara wheels that I've had in my possession for about a year and a half. Doesn't look like anything is going to rub much, if at all. I like how the wider...
If the newer model market isn't do well, they may have put a hold on most new product development, especially for older model vehicles. The recession is putting a squeeze on a lot of people's spending money.
Someone should definitely do this. I have a feeling it would be more popular than the 2500 front end conversion. Especially since the headlights are readily available and you don't need new front fenders to do it. And most importantly, it still looks like a Jeep. I really like that it retains...
I'm looking for the same thing. I have a street only XJ and I'd like to find the most comfortable seats I can. I'm actually considering looking at Cadillac seats.
I actually want to make the ride as comfortable as possible, so I might go with the OME Light leaf springs if they still raise the rear by 2". Ride quality is really my #1 concern, which is why I was going to replace the suspension to begin with. I figured it would be a good idea to lift it at...
I suppose I could have posted this in the Street and Performance forum, but most of the lift related threads are here.
I don't go offroad with my XJ. It's for street use only. I have a set of brand new 18" alloys off a 2008 Wrangler Sahara that I bought from a dealership quite a while ago that...
