Ok here is what i'm running and what I want to accomplish. 98XJ, 3.5in RE, 31's, auto, np231, d30, 8.25, stock 3.55's. I cant decide to ear gear to 4.11 or 4.56's. My XJ is my DD I would like to keep running at 70 mph and not be racing over 3000 RPM's. I do pull some times 2500 lbs max. So...

Any benifit in installing grand cherokee d30 cv axle's in a XJ D30 ujoint. Are they going to be strong enough for crawling?

I'm running a RE 3.5in with 31's and 3.55. I would put 4.56 or 4.88 in if it was deadicated crawler. But this is my DD. I understand that with 31's and putting 4.10's in will bring it back to a "stock" setting? I would like to maintain 70mph with out racing over 3000 RPM's "4.0L auto trans". I...

Again thanks for all the input!. I guess it is just a toss up. I am regearing it to 4:10's. My wheeling plans are some where in the middle. My XJ is my DD. So nothing hard core. I'm all so running the stock NP231. But with a tight buget, and how often I go, I'll just keep the front open.:rof:

Well this is my DD so locking the front is not an option. And LS sounds inafective. So I think I'll sit with open in the front, locked in the rear! Thanks for all you input!

Just like it says. Its it worth putting limited slip in a front axle at all?

Does anyone run a detroit ture trac in there front D30? if so how do you like it and how does it steer? Good idea or bad. My XJ is DD.

Does any one run the EDGE Trail Jammer kit? I'm thinking of getting one but wondering if any one has it and if it is worth it?

My voltage gauge goes to 19V and I put a new altornator in abnd still goes to 19V! I had both tested and the battery to and they all work?? SOOOO. Any Ideas??

Thats way to much for junk yard axles. you can spend that for two axles complete. What is rusted? Why new axle's? axle shafts?

Sounds like your low on freeon. And if low you have a leak in your a/c system. Take it in and have it recharge and dye added to find the leak. fyi you must be certified to work on a/c system. good luck

The system is full. How long it takes to come back on? Not sure I turn it off and rool the windows down and then I get to where i'm going. But after a while a hour or so it comes on again.

My a/c will work for about 15min and then quit, when it works it blows ice cold, and from what i can see there is no frezzing on any componets.

So I've got to ask whats the DD? not sure what that is. Thanks for all your input!

I've got a 98 xj sport with a 8.25 rear I'm on a buget. and i'm thinking of running, Aussie, Powertrax, or Lockright. Who has run these? Any problems? Pros and cons. A Nickle for your thoughts. All so this is my every day driver.
