A different option for both added power and MUCH better fuel economy is the HHO hydrogen generators. Look the info up on Google, yahoo, etc. It's fo' real. The technology is getting better and more refined REALLY QUICKLY. I'm gonna' add one to my semi tractor. I should see 30-40 gain in MPG...
Hey,
Either long or short stroke should work well, but the forged pistons would be a good idea with a turbo. I have the KB 945's and I may do a rear-mount turbo at some point. The turbo will allow for the basic build to be moderate and it should make good power anyway.
Hmmmm...this sounds like a pretty screwed Gov't "help" plan. Maybe it'll open a window for enterprising folks to make more OEM-type aftermarket parts. If I had space or know someone who did, I suggest hoarding XJ,ZJ,WJ parts. They may get a bit scarce.
My '94 Guv'mt XJ has a column shift. It's the first one I'd seen when I got it in '06. They have NO center console, just rubba' mat interior. Manual everything. As light and simple as they come. I have a 3 1/2" lift with 31" Cepek FC II's on Jeep Ravine alloys. With my 4.7 stroker, it scoots.
I'd try the point and shoot infrared first to see what the REAL temps are. If the temps are good, I'd check the GAUGE sending unit at the rear of the head and then the CPU temp unit in the T-Stat housing. I have had problems with both of these sensors, on an otherwise correct operating stroker.
On the JeepStrokers forum, it has been suggested you can use Yella Terra 1.7 ratio RR's. This give some of the effect of a high lift cam, but with the stock profile. This would be a more expensive route, for sure. I assume you would need different springs. Anyone have an insight on this...
I use the AEM. I have the model that has the IAT relocation hole in the end. The idea is that with the IAT relocated there, from the intake manifold, the sensor gets a cooler temp reading and it causes the computer to richen the A/F ratio a little. It may also bump the timing up a degree or...
I'm not bothered by other folks opinions or experiences. I'm just giving account of mine. When I put the Champion rc12's back it, it screams, as normal. Smooth idle, HARD, tire spinning excelleration. FOR REAL. I was just stunned to find that both these "performance" plugs ran so terribly, I...
