You can always find an OEM one and mock that with better steel. Thats what I'm gonna do. Most junk yards have the gas tanks and skids peeled off of their vehicles and leave em in the back seat to prevent rotting. It should be easy to find one if your xj doesnt have one. Good luck.

I need a grille assembly and the latch for the hood, also the two peices for each and of the hood latch system. Make any sense? I confused myself. Anyway let me know on these. Plus I'll think of some more things I need.
-I was just curious to your guys' thoughts on the whole "Small Lift" scenario. I actually probobly(sp?) wont lift mine until I save the money for a big RE one. I was just toying with the thought. Thanks for the opinions.
I helped a buddy herculine his interior a few months ago. The worst parts were taking all of the seats and stuff out and the smell afterwords. He ran with the windows down for about three days afterwords.

I'm a novice mechanic. I just had most of my coolant system replaced and now I noticed that my tank is leakin. Is this something I can do in say a couple of hours, If I follow your directions?
Thats a good thing because I let mine go to hell without any stop leak in it and trust me you dont want to be cruisin at 70 and have it blow the side return line out like mine did. Evidently the less fluid you have in there the more pressure builds up. So 60 bucks later I'm cruisin again.

But I'm looking to attatch the exhaust in front of the rear axle. This is because that is where the exhaust ends now. Is it ok to weld to the bottom of the body on my XJ. I'm kinda weary of doing this since I'm not sure if its any good for the unibody construction.
