I'm going to change my chrysler 8.25 fluid soon. I have the FSM and they say to use 80w-90 gear lube. The ? is if there is an option for a synthetic lube that still conforms to the factory specs and is it worth it? I have a 96 xj with 91000 miles on it. Don't know when the last time the lube was...

So let me get this straight, When you run a smaller backspacing the tires stick out more which in turn cause the fender flares to pop off more when offroading? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for wheels but can't decide on 4 1/4 or 3 3/4. which will give less rubbing?

Sorry for the lack of info cause I was runnin out the door and typed it up quick. It's a 96 xj, 4.0l, n249 transfer case, 91000 miles, command trac 4 wheel, and a chrysler 8.25 rear end. The sound seems to be coming from the front area. When I put it in drive or reverse and as soon as the jeep...

I'm a bit new to the jeep world so bear with me. Since I've had the jeep(3 months) on take off there is a clunk sound coming from underneath and it's driving me nuts. Does anyone have any idea what it could be. control arms?, driveshaft? Any ideas?

Hey xjrrrdx... How do you like the rusty's suspension. Cause I was thinkin of their kit with the full leaf packs also. Plus it seems that the rusty's kit doesn't come with the shocks, is that correct? Thanks again. BTW I thought your jeep looked black but anyways it looks real nice!
