I would put a mechanical gauge on it before I did anything else, the gauge in the dash is a little fuzzy.

I have one that is leaking from the tail shaft, for free! I reckon installing an SYE would fix the problem... It is high mileage though, came out of my '99 jeep at 225k
I don't have the time to tear it apart until next week, we will see how it goes. The way it runs it doesn't seem like failure is imminent... I guess its like a dam though, once there's a crack, its too late.
Changed my oil this afternoon found a tiny bit of little metal flakes in the oil. Engine has good oil pressure and runs well. It has had a slight knock at idle after it warms up for the last 100k+ miles. The knock goes away under load
