I'm trying to decide whether to go with the 62mm. or the 60mm. bored out TB, some vendors say that the 62mm does not show any gains over the 60mm and that i would need a stroker to benifit from the 62. Are the torque gains the same as boreing out to 60mm. My XJ is a 2000 with 2.5" cat back pipe...
Try reducing your tail pipe down to 2.25" or even 2.0" because the 3" exhaust will over scavenge and lose your lowend torque. Checkout www.go.jeep-xj.info/ he's worked out the torque related to diameter issue pretty well.

If you'll look close, it looks like the grille is part of the hood and the headlights extend back into the fender quarterpanel so you could'nt swap them out at all.
Don't forget the MagnaFlow Performance mufflers they are completely flow through and sound great. they have 14" and 18" for the xj. I just installed the 18" five days ago with 2.5" cat back pipeing and i'm getting deep,rich tones at idle and lower speeds and at highway speeds its almost...
Airaid is developing a " quick-fit " filter system for the OEM filter box, you just remove the filter box lid and install theirs that has a heat sheild that seals against the hood and uses a cone filter, it snaps into place with the OEM clips then you can modify your box in front for more air...
