Thanks. It is from the axle. This thread was helpful: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=901556&highlight=axle+breather

    Oil leak

I hate to bump this old thread but this problem is getting worse. For the last year there has been the occasional drip through the frame rails as shown above but not much more. Yesterday after a long drive I was filling up with gas and noticed oil pouring out through these holes leaving a pool...

Guess who got a bath today?

Very clean. I notice you have non-oem roof bars that mount in the stock rails. What make are they?

Some fun projects I have been working on

I realised that US spec cars used to have speedos that went to 85 mph (my old '82 DeLorean had one), but I thought by 1997 or later xjs they would be the same in all countries that used mph. Obviously not. Out of interest, do current 2011 cars in the US still have low reading speedos?

That looks great. Couldn't help but notice your speedo, what happens to your Jeep at 100 mph? Here's mine...

What do you do for a living?

Guess all the mechanical engineering types are no surprise: is that why NAXJA is such a useful resource? I'm a Medical Doctor.

    LSDiff?

Some did have a LSD. My D35 certainly does - it's a '99. Jeep called it Trac-Lok. There should be a sticker in the glove compartment confirming it.

    1999 Orvis RHD

Yep, it's fused. I used pretty thick wire for the supply too.

    1999 Orvis RHD

A couple of updates. I've put a 12v power outlet in the rear so that I can plug in my coolbox on camping trips. I used a VW part but it's a match for the outlet on the dashboard on the Jeep. Ran it straight from the battery and it's a permanent live. Works great. Picked up some tail-light...
