THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not all of us can be so cool to put our man purse in a little eco car everyday to commute to work.

:moon:

My parents took the VW last month, my stepdad has been neglecting all the maintenance save for oil changes on his now 200k XJ, and my mom's 02 explorer is just about ready to be retired at 120k. I have a HHR with the company logo on it I get to take home and drive during the week.

I genuinely miss the days of driving my XJ around on the roads.

I love it. Except every time I forget my driver seat is buckled until I get in it... Then I has a sad.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You guys think a 33cc engine for a moped is big enough? The legal limit in MA is 50cc. I just want something to drive around Boston when I'm drinking. I've got a gay youth sized huffy that was found in a junk car and 33cc chainsaw...that was found in another junk car. I think it's a good idea. I don't know the sprocket sizes offhand but I wasn't going to get all technical about it either. Just weld a chainsaw to some kid's old bike and drive it around to bars.

Yup. Can't wait to have the j10 back on the road. The Pontiac will just collect dust(if I can keep the jeep in one piece FML)

I dont think I've ever heard a better idea honestly

From what I've heard it's like the most awesome way to get around. You dont have to register or insure it if it's under 50cc and you are just treated like a dude on a bike. If I'm too shitfaced to drive my car I'll just take the bike(and hope I don't die) and drive it to someone else's place and sleep. Some kid I was talking to the other day says he has one and it takes him 20 minutes to go from summervile to south boston versus 45 minutes to take a train.

Just figured I'll half ass cobble together one in a day and it should be awesome. The chainsaw has everything all in one. The tank, a clutch, the sprocket, all that SHIT. My bike my not get brakes, so I'll probably die right quick but that's probably for the best.

Dave's had a scooter boner for a while, probably from too much time in Allston. You can still get a DUI as far as I know

Scooters I know are different. They still require a plate. As far as I know it's like having a regular bike ALMOST. Can you get a DUI on a bike or a skateboard? I could always bolt it to a skateboard.

LOL homo hotrod

(I can't stand the way they look... they were designed by the same person who did the PT Cruiser. But hey, a free company vehicle is a free company vehicle.)

You can, and it has all the same ramifications. A friend of mine very nearly got arrested for DUI on a bicycle in Worcester back when we were in college.

I'm not sure about DUI on a skateboard but I think you should do it just to find out. Or ask a cop. If they really want to be douchey about it they will just arrest you for drunk in public and call it a day.

Yup. And if you walk, drunk in public. I had a long conversation w my lawyer about it. The system is pretty much in place to **** you when it comes to booze.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Quick search says pretty much anything you operate while drunk will get you a DUI. I mean I know people drunk bicycle around boston all the time without a thought. But a moped will definitely draw a lot more attention. I'll still do it, since I drink like a *** anyway. Fact remains I could park my car 2 miles away and still get to the bar in less than 5 minutes. I haven't had more than 4 beers in a whole night drinking in awhile and I don't think a cop would have any reason to pull me over. Also the kid I know with one said it's sick driving around boston on weekday nights where it would usually be packed. That's sounds sick even dead sober.

Not to mention I can always just decide to weld the chainsaw to the front of it. That would be cool too.

No doubt that Bob Heath can help you out with building the chainsaw bike, AND getting you blackout drunk enough to ride it.

Mind chipping in yourself? I was thinking about strapping an outboard motor to the back while I was at it. If we can get Pat in on this i'll have someone to squirt bagged wine in my mouth while I ride it and give duck bike tours off the pegs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I saw a life tip Pat will like actually, you can use bag wine as a pillow and drink from it at the same time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Incredible. It looks like my camping gear just got a little lighter!

If you can replace your pillow with an extra bag of wine then your camping gear would be heavier:twak:
