I've been selling stock 29 spline 8.25 axles for $200. It's funny. Jeep guys won't touch them for that. Guys looking to replace a bad axle jump at that price considering a dealer wants $500-700 to rebuild one. Oddly enough I have an 8.25 with a factory limited slip. Was going to ask $250 but then my dad said he wanted it. So we are trading straight across for his super low miles 8.25 that's open.
 
really its just the sake of ease right now of having a bolt in axle with an lsd and 4.10s...but hey, if i get to have a welding party with ken stein, i'll bring the beer and steaks and do an 8.8. i really don't plan on ever running more than 33's...but who knows, plans change. its been on clist for a while...if i can talk the guy down i still might jump on it.
 
Yeah, I haven't paid more than $50 for an 8.25 ever as far as I know.

Worst case, any rearend is $130 at the yard and I can pull em in like 20 minutes flat...

I can't think of anyone who would need one aside from the owner of an RHD XJ. Is the pumpkin still on the left side?
 
Where can I unload a RHD Dana 30 LP?

I know there's a market. Just don't know where its at

3.55's? Sell the shafts, hubs, calipers. The housing is prob scrap. If it was HP I can see maybe someone doing a TNT truss or something that would replace the track bar and steering stabilizer brackets but being a LP I don't see that happening.
 
what would ya'll spend on a 29 spline with an lsd and 4.10s? clean axle thats been re-painted, has an extended brake line attached and newish brakes?

found one here on clist for $400...sent the guy an email to get more info. if he comes down just a little, i'm in for sure...if he won't budge, i still might consider it.

ya, the diff is still on the dri... err... passs... errr.... left side. lol.

the track bar is a goofy looking thing for sure. the steering is obviously RHD specific as well, steering box being on the right side.

Pumpkin is still on left but everything else is mirrored. If I can find somebody with a wrecked one I'm sure I can get some coin out of this. But that's the thing, finding somebody.

Yup did that too. Been to Apple Valley Farms June Event in 2013. Played a bit around at a buds place. Took it on a trip to CO, wheeled it for 3 days in the front range, then drove to Bozeman, MT. Mild wheeling for a day + some fishing. Drove back to WI.

4" Rough Country lift with X-Flex joints and their version of a JKS disco.
33" 12.50s on stock 15" wheels. No vibes. No drive-ability issues at all, not even a vibration. I'm pretty happy with it.

My one regret might eventually be that I didn't go long arm.

i need a place to work on my junk...staring at parts on the internet is going to end badly if i don't have a place to put them on :(

i found an old dana 30 arb with a compressor for $300...

what all can go wrong with an old one? he claims it works well...
