KJ seat swap

Hey, has anyone ever swapped some kj seats into an xj? I was at the JY and there was a kj there with almost perfect leather power heated seats.... At $15 bucks a piece i just couldn't go home without them! My seats in my 89 are 90% duct tape but at one time were leather and power so i was hoping i would just be able to splice some wires to make it all work like factory, also i plan on figuring out how to get the heated seats to work too Any imput would be great, if not i'll just be the first to do it i guess haha and will document it all for future reference! Needless to say i'm stoked!

See if they bolt up to the seat brackets.

They won't just bolt up to an 89, but they may bolt up to the 95+ style bracket, as Grand Cherokee and Wrangler seats will bolt up to the 95+.

You'll have to do some fabbing to make a "flat" mount for them, but if you can weld it will be cake.

I can kinda weld, i'm learning. But there's lots of people around me that can weld who are teaching me so it'll be a good learning experience i think. I'll have to check out the 95+ brackets for sure though.

The 95 brackets wont bolt directly to your floor, the channels are set up differently. You can make them work, however, you might be in for more that way.

I had a local fab guy make adapters using angle iron to turn the older style XJ mounts into a standard "square" mount for my ZJ buckets. Its about 3 or 4 welds per seat.
