you probably received the Anchor part no 2625 which is for the auto and later model manual trans, IIRC.

P.S. it also fits the 4X4, I just copied the wrong picture......

That looks to be the same as the one I've already bought. I did in fact get part #: 2625 but the one you posted looks identical. Shoot...

subtle difference in pics, but IIRC, the bracket for the stick shift is bigger and the rubber insulator is smaller than the auto mount

Hm, alright, I see it now.

I just did a search for Peugeot trans mount and I got this :

This is what it looks like on my rig. Do I need this? I'm confused as to what the actual mount is.. it says transmission mount assembly so I'm not quite understanding. Thanks

So, I started to work on it again this morning and above this part - where the arrow is.. that's where the tranny sits.

I don't understand, there doesn't even seem to be a mount on there. :dunno:

Please help

The mount pictured above is upside-down. That rubber half circle looking thingy is the mount for your exhaust.
Pull the ehaust away from the hanger, unbolt the tranny from the cross member (4 nuts), support the trans (not the cross member) with a floor jack, unbolt the crossmember from the frame and remove it. Once the crossmember is out, look up through the four larger holes on the tranny mount, there are four more bolts, remove them. The mount should fall out. Install the new mount in the reverse order.
Hope this helps. :)

Thanks logdog. My only concern is ( see in the pic where the arrow is?) that part is right under the tranny and it looks like no mount is above it. Is the mount supposed to be above that?

No. The whole assembly is the mount, and connects directly to the trans.

yes, you need the whole thing. when i bought mine for my 89, i got it at the dealer because i couldnt find anywhere else at the time. IIRC, it was around $130.

and the picture you posted is the mount and its upside down. the part on top connects to the crossmember and in the pic. your unable to see where the trans mounts.

Alright,

by chance do you have the part #? I have a buddy who's dad is a mechanic and want to see if he can get one for me. Thanks
