Wondered if anyone had heard about the higher-quality YouTube videos. Apparently a lot of the newer videos are being encoded with H.264 in addition to the standard encoding. You can view the H.264 version of a video by adding &fmt=6 to the end of the URL, ie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0PdrJOjfOs&fmt=6
Try comparing the H.264 version and the "standard" version of a video, the H.264 really does look better.
Apparently the iPhone can't play Flash very well, but has a built-in hardware decoder for H.264, so the only YouTube videos the iPhone will play are the H.264 encoded ones.
