You just love that silver, don't you?

That looks like a nice, clean XJ.

Nice!

What happened to that red one that was in Cali that you got?

actually it was here, just had cali plates, insurance totaled it, i bought it back but sold it to a friend here in Hawaii, it needs some work and i dont have the time right now, I needed something a little more road ready.

(but the cool part is i get to watch him build that red one up and help out when i can)

oh yeah, silver FTW !

Ahhh I see.

First thing I would do on this one...fix the badges!!! lol.

I knew it wouldn't be long before you fell off the wagon again.

Nice find.

yeah, thats the tall tell sign of being "repainted"

I'm not OCD about much, but stuff like emblems out of place really drive me insane.

The front one on my Jeep is way off from the last body shop work and it's driving me nuts! lol.

what are the chances of finding a totally intact limited at a junkyard in Hawaii ?

pretty damn good if your me !

Scored a nice, like new overhead console, factory CD player and factory floor mats

Man those seats look familar! Sounds like a very nice interior on the way.

Well after a year of lying dead , its time to reanimate this project, but first, lets recap the past year...

First, the headliner was finished, then the leather, overhead console and radio were installed

I used a $17 can, orange with black top, can't remember the name right now from Napa, just for headliner. I also went to Walmart and got canvas material in black, no foam, kinda like the newer cars, holds up great and I love it, just be sure to scrub all the old foam off with a brush to get a proper seal.

This stuff, Permatex

LED UPGRADE:sunshine:

so I decided to finally upgrade the outdated factory lighting with some new energy efficient LEDs. I ordered everything in Bright White from superbrightleds.com I don't really care for the way the radio led conversion turned out, maybe I'll try blue LED's for it, but I'm happy with the gauge and the way the HVAC went from dingy green to a cool blue look using white LEDs

and yes the dimmer still works just the same

before and after
