Figured I would post this up for all to see. The 2nd annual Country Fried Weekend is happening in a few weeks. Last year there were about 20 or so vehicles, and everyone had a great time. We will be camping this time in the Jones Creek area since it has the most space between the camping spots.

Already have a fair number of folks going, but there is still room. Saturday night will be a potluck type of feast, fried turkey, etc etc. You dont neccesarily have to cook something for the potluck, but its appreciated. Usually during the day they go on little rides, some wheeling but nothing too hardcore. There are plenty of hiking trails also, and the camp area is right beside a fairly good sized creek.

This is open to all types of vehicles.

Here are the threads on ExPo, not sure why there are two, but there are.

Bumping this up to the top again. This is going to be a great time, we are at about 20 rigs+ right now, and plan to have about 30 or so people. Not just jeeps, every type of vehicle you can think of from bone stock to crazy Unimogs.

Come out an do a little winter camping. We will be also exploring a few mild trails during the day as well, and are planning a big pot-luck type dinner on Saturday with Fried Turkey and lots of other good eats.

Dont miss out, this is close to all of you Tennessee, Eastern Ala., and Northen/Central Georgia folks. I and another rig/guy will be heading up Friday mid-morning around 10am if anyone wants to follow me up.

looks like a great time from what the video shows, i'm dieing to go to an event like this but it's a little far considering i don't have a trailer to put my xj on, and she's too rude to take on the highway. i hope it goes well.

Check out the links I posted. All the info is in those threads. Its a bit of a drive from Nashville though....

Its a national forest, you dont 'pay' to camp there. Its just first come first serve.

Dragging this back up one last time.

Still time to get in on it.

I am leaving from my house at 10 am Friday morning if anyone wants to follow me up.
