trying to install RC Stainless brakelines but the caliper has a ledge that's keeping the block on the end of the line from from matching up correctly and now the bolt won't go through. Is it all right to cut that ledge off or do I need it for stability?

Here's what I mean...

The Lip

not very good pics ?? what year xj do you have ?? axle?? maybe shipped wrong hose's ?? i don't think by cutting off ledge would be a problem !!??

It's hard to believe that someone would actually spend the time to take pictures of such a simple thing and post them on the internet instead of just doing whats pretty obvious. Oh well, atleast you figured it out now.

Do not grind the lip on the caliper, its there to keep the line from rotating. If anything grind the fitting on the brakeline.
