Steering pop

Recently I have been getting this loud popping/cracking sound when my wheels are turned and I am moving forward. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it other than it doesn't sound good at all, like some kind of metal grinding together. Its not just 1 pop though, it does it the whole time I am turning. My jeep is my DD and needs to stay healthy so any ideas of what it may be will be much appreciated. Its an 89 with stock suspension with 2" spacers. I've tightened up the sway bar, new steering stab in and new track bar and hubs. Thanks much.

Axle U-Joint would be my guess.

NP231 with D30 CAD? Axle might not be fully disengaged.

No disconnect axle with the 242 from factory.

x2 on the axle u-joints.

mine is the same...u-joints perfect...

mine is in the case...rebuild time
