What is this?

I have to work today and didn't get the chance to chase this line around. Does anyone know what it's for and where its suppose to be? I'm not sure if its a breather line or vacuum line or whatever. Thanks!

Fuel return or fuel system vent line? Probably shouldn't be on that exhaust pipe.

It's not on the exhaust pipe. Just pulled it down for the picture. Thanks for the reply.

Fuel vent line wouldn't be that far forward. Looks almost like a tranny cooler line that runs from the side of the tranny, is held onto the oil pan with a nut on one of the studs, then goes up to the tranny cooler inside the rad. Fuel lines are steel lines outside of the engine bay running directly along with the brake steel line on the inside of the drivers side frame rail.

transfer case vent tube, supposed to be bolted to the bell housing at the top on the right side, near where the trans dipstick comes up
