rim question

ok so on my truck right now i have stock rims and tires. i found rims and tires from a newer jeep that are much nice but i am not sure if they will fit b/c of backspacing and such. right now i have 15" steel wheels and these ones are 17" aluminum. here is a pic. i believe they are off a newer grand cherokee. i have a 97 xj w/ a 3" lift so im not really worried about clearance. i dont want to take the hours drive to get them if they wont fit so any help would be great.

The rim shown is for a WJ Grand Cherokee. The WJ uses a 5 X 5.5" bolt pattern. XJs use a 5 X 4.5" pattern.
The different bolt pattern will not fit your XJ.

Any chance the wheels are from a TJ? They would fit, as long as you have enough wheel-well clearance.
