Oil filter Seepage

Has anyone else out there had troubles with FRAM filters seeping oil from the mount on the 4.0's? I am getting drops from the filter and believe it to be a filter gasket issue. I am wondering if anyone has tried other filters that have caused the same issue. I think i will try another brand next time.

check to see if the ring gasket came off the old filter and stuck to the block, could be you screwed on the new filter over the old filters ring gasket.

i recommend Napa Gold 1515, its the 1 quart size and they are manufactured by Wix, IMO the best in the oil filter business.

I use Bosch but the problem lies in the Oil Filter Adapter O-rings. Pretty easy fix.

Follow these directions. just ignore the Motor Mount part of it.
