98 injectors in 88

What problems if any would I expect to have if I run 98 injectors in my 88? I know that 87-95 runs about 39 psi fuel pressure and 96+ runs 49 PSI (correct me if I am wrong). Would the ECM just correct for this by increasing injector pulse width or would I stil have issues with running lean? I know that HESCO makes an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, but I can't see myself paying that much for it. http://www.hescosc.com/shop.asp?action=details&inventoryID=43021&catId=7973
Thanks for any input

Those 98 23.2#@49psi injectors will flow 20.7#@39psi. 18.6# is stock for the renix. I'm not sure if the renix controller will cut injector duty cycle to maintain 14.7AFR, as I didn't start tweaking XJs until well after my 88 bit the dust. I will say if you have a less restrictive intake and a bored out TB that you should be less worried about it running rich and that you'd see a nice increase if installed at the same time as the injectors.

We put 98 injectors from a broken motor on my sons 87,It smells a little rich, but runs and drives OK.The injectors have been in there over 2 years .
I really cant comment on the gas mileage.

because the hesco regulator is so expensive, i did a quick search and found this. i dont know if it is vacuum assisted like the stock regulator. the fuel connections would need to be modified also

same one different site. looks like the end of the adjustment screw is for the vacuum line.
