So my friend is planing to buy a 98 XJ for about $350, The jeep needs boby work, like the axle bracket fixed and a new side fender and window. But this we can do and get done. Along with other boby work.

But the jeep has been sitting still for about 6 months. What are the other thing we will need to fixed, Like fluids ! Mostly I think about the transmission and radiator fluids having not being cirulating giving use problems later on.

If it's the D. side axle bracket, you want to look at the axle real close. if it hit hard enough to damage the bracket, it probably also bent axle/steering parts.

On a side note: If he does get it, I think I have 2 of the same rims in good condition if he needs to match the missing one.

D side ? If you mean the differential side, No its on the other side. My other friend who runs an off-road shop MB Truck Master said he can fix it for about $100 if I bring him the axle off the jeep. I'm hosting his webpage at http://www.iidesign.info/MB-TM.html

Really ! I was thinking this rims is aftermarket. And the missing 4th rim is in the back of the jeep But having 5 or 6 same rims can be nice. But however i will be tailing my friend to get new upper/lower axle links

I meant drivers side. It's taken a hit on the left front. If the left brackets were broken or bent, that would mean the axle had absorbed a pretty big hit.

They are after-market. He's got the 4th, cool. If he's interested, PM me and I'll get you pics and measurements of the ones I've got.

I wouldn't worry about 6 months. Incredible price considering it has $2k plus in parts on it. Hate that color of green but that is just me.
