tj/xj np231 same?

hey everybody

a friend is trying to replace the outer case of his np231. the chain rubbed the bottom of it, and its cracked. we found a good deal on a TJ rear casing, but i wanted to make sure it was the same before buying it

I thought I heard somewhere that the clocking on TJ/YJ and XJ cases was a little different. can anyone verify this?

The t case is the same, the different clocking comes from the adapter housing on the trans. So if you take a AX15 from a yj and put it in a XJ, the tcase will be clocked up.
Anyway the rear half of the t case should work just fine.
