For those who have done the lever replacement.....
Can the plug at the end of the wire be fished down without cutting the plug off?

To state that more clearly......
Can it be fished (with a string or something) down without dis-assembling the steering column?
My plastic just shattered and the wires were already cut by the PO. The wires are still hanging out of the steering column by the lever.

Yes. You will need to loosten and remove the four bolts that cradle the steering column under the dash and snap the plastic cover that is down there open. Prop the column up to allow more room between the column and the bracket.

Edit: nevermind on the plastic.
