bearings for an 8.8...cant find em

hey everybody

ive got a friend at home regearing a ford 8.8, and he was replacing the axle end bearings and cant find the right size. he said hes been to every parts store in town, and their all either too small or too big. i thought they would all be the same size but i guess not...or are the parts store people just idiots

also hes thinking about going with a c-clip eliminator kit anyways. if he did does he need this bearing, or will that kit replace it anyways

iirc the eliminator kit is the bearing, and you change the tube ends and then the axle gets pressed together with the bearing, if you decide against this, take the old bearing you have taken out and go to a machine shop/bearing wholesaler, and get them to match it. or try the stealership.

Replacement rear wheel bearings for up-to 2004 8.8" ford diffs is a BCA #6408. The seals are a National # 8835S

jeepo. i ddin't really follow your post. i thought the c-clip eliminator kit already comes assembled you just bolt it to the end of the housing...no pressing
