Front driveshaft replacement question

I have a 2001 XJ and I need to replace my front ds due to vibration issues (u-joint). I found a used one off of a '99. I know the '99s are a high pinion, but how do I know if the ds is compatible.

It should be compatable. Check the measurement of the two. I put on in my 99 out of an earily 90's model. Same problem with vibes, but they wen away when I swapped them

The driveshafts are the same!

as long as the 99 had the same tranny as you...ie, manual and manual, or auto and auto....

89-01 AW4 tranny - front DS all the same part number...
