So ive been doing a lot of reading/searching about this.
I have a 97 XJ with an AW4 and the following:
P0700 - Control System Malfunction
P0753 - Shift Solenoid A (Electrical)
It runs fine in 1st gear, when it acts like its shifting to second it seems like it skips and goes to 3rd and reallly lags. Then once up to speed it seems like its not shifting into OD. Coming to a stop shudders really bad and almost dies unless i drop it to 1st or Neutral
When I unplug the TCM and try to shift it manually and it has the same exact problem, feels like no 2nd gear.
Things I have done.
-cleared codes with my reader
-unplugged battery for 3 days
-replaced with a new TPS from AZ
-Tried a junkyard 97 TCM
-Replaced Shift solenoid 1 and 2
-Tried a TCM from my 99 model that i know runs good
Problem is still there.. Any tips? I feel like I need to test the wiring in the harness, but dont know where to start.
