troubled 86 Please help!!!

I dont know how many have been following my progress on my 86 xj, but I have yet another problem. After finishing all the brake work for inspection i was taking a look under the hood before my trip to the garage and noticed the hose for thr pcv valve was worn through.So i replaced itnow the truck wont stay running.There are also a two other vacum lines disconnected or plugged.Any suggestions? and does anyone out there have a better diagram of the vacum lines than the one under my hood. The motor is the dispised 2.8 V6. One more thing if this motor keeps up the problems how easy is it to swap for a 3.4? Has anyone out ther done it? Please help!!!
