t-5/231/207 swap questions

Here it goes...Have an 89 Sport 4.0/aw4/NP231 for a daily driver, also have an 86 Loredo 2.8GM/T-5/NP207 for a buildup wheelin rig. Are the spline counts the same on the two Tcases or am I gonna run into troubles. The 231 is going to go behind the T-5 tranny and with a Mustang bellhousing and a frankenstien clutch setup, hooked to a mildly prepped Ford 302 V8...all to go into the 86' Loredo XJ.

Eventually it will also have a Ford 8.8 Rear, Dana30 front combo with 3" of lift and 31" or 32" x 10.5" tires.

Also do you think the T-5 will hold up as long as it is not abused??
