'88 engine transfer to a '90?

looking at an engine swap from a '88 to a '90. needed to know if this was possible or if there was a major wiring difference or anything? both engines are fuel injected I-6 thats all i know. but i can pick up the entire '88 for a couple hundred with a blown trans or x-fer case but a good engine

What engine? If it's the 4.0 I'd believe it's a straight swap.

88 and 90 were both Renix. Should be good to go!

Yup, I'm rebuilding a '90 to go into my '88. Been cross checking part numbers as I go just for the heck of it, and so far it's all the same. Good Luck!
