just completed intalling a RE 3.5 SR kit with full rear packs on my '88
Busted out the tape measure to see what will fit. There is plenty of room everywhere except that even the 215's are really close to the sway bar link hardware at full lock. The 215's are on stock 5-star jeep wheels are are tucked well within the stock flares.
I was hoping to stick with the stock wheels, figuring 31x1.5's would be safe. Maybe looking into a 32x11.5 or 33x10.5 or 9.5. No planning on extreme flex needs, I think I have the room for the diameter and the width clears all but the sway bar links. But I think even the 31x10.5's are going to rub the sway bar links.
What is the backspacing on the stock wheels? Should I be seriously considering new wheels with slightly less backspacing?
