Roof rack mounts?

I just finished making a roof rack for my XJ, should I spend a ton of time trying to fab up my own guter rail mounts, or just get some mounts from Surco or someone else. I am looking for some ideas.
What is everyone else using? Homemade or brand name? Pics would be great

If you have the know how, fab up some of your own, if not i think the surco gutter mounts are like 20 some odd bucks for all 4 brackets. My rack is still tight as it was the day i installed it.

I have a Surco rack on the Jeep now and I may end up just robbing those. I saw a sweet set of custom fabed mounts a few weeks a ago in a post on here.

if you already have the surco mounts why bother trying to fab up your own? Use what you got

Because im selling the rack, and I don't want to try to sell it to someone with out mounts. Then again I may just use the surco mounts.
