A/C Compressor

Should the compressor cycle on and off around 10 sec, or is that the clutch thats cycles on and off?

Have a 88 4x4 4.0 auto XJ AW4 / With a vac leak air cycles back and forth through the vents and deffrosters i will try the carb cleaner method later

The clutch is what engages the compressor, so to answer your question, it's both.
