FR Leaf bolt and nut????

Well to my surprise removing and upgrading my leafs on the XJ only took about 7hrs, 6pack and a trip to home depot. I also managed to spit my forehead open. Taking a 1/2 dr ratchet and socket to the head can do wonders. Nothing but a little liquid bandage and one butterfly can't take care of. So here's the deal, like many XJ owners, my driverside front leaf bolts' weld was busted. So after about an hour I was able to remove it. I knew that I was unable to reuse the nut. So I made a trip to home depot to score the largest bolt possible. I picked up a 1/2" x 4 1/2" bolt, 2 washers and a nut. Will these be a problem as a temporary fix?? Would a dealership have a replacement nut?? Any idea how to remedy this???

As long as they are grade 8 you should be fine, mine are the same as yours for the last 5yrs with no problems. I think they are an odd metric size stock.

If you have a napa around, they have the exact bolt you need.

14mm x 120mm , 2.0 mm pitch
Napa part numbers
2801-273 - bolt
2823-014 - locknut or you can get the regular nut
2808-014 - washer
