i thought the high pitched whining was from the front end, i think its the rear now. i have a hight pitched whining coming from under what seems like the rear differential or maybe driveshaft. its louder when driving but i noticed it when i left it in neutral and slowly pushed the jeep forward. I think i hear the same type of sound when gently rolling it. does this sound familiar to anyone?
