Power Seat Question

Hi,
I have a 98 XJ Limited with 70,000 miles.
The drivers side power seat moves in every direction except forward and back. Is this an issue with the switch, or ? Is it easy to remove ?

Sounds like a bad switch or a connection running to the motor. I doubt the motor is bad but you might want to try running a wire to bypass the switch just to check the motor.
If it is the motor, you can always just get rid of the powered seat base and add a manual base to match the passenger seat. (I really don't know why they only put 1 power seat in the 98 Limited)
To pull the seat out it's just the 4 bolts on the floor (3 bolts, 1 nut) and then 2 wiring connectors (1 for the seat motors & 1 for the seat belt).

same problem on my 2000, except my front switch that moves the front up and down doesnt work.
