switching to external slave?

I searched it but did not find anything about what year it is out of or how to go about it.
I have the internal one and was told that there ois no kit for it and would prefer to have an external unit.
any info would be much appreciatted.

But one thing, how long did it take for your internal one to fail?

It was out when I got it but I was managing to drive it anyway until it locked in 5th gear.

If it lasted for a long amount of miles, then I dont really see the need to go to an external. Easier to replace if it ever goes out again, but the you will have to drop the tranny to convert over to external anyways. Just a thought.

I dont mind swapping it I am changing this one over to 4wd anyway so the tranny has to come out,might as well do it while I have it out.
